Brooklyn Transportation

There is nothing like riding home from the bookstore, with a find that the salesclerk had assumed was already sold out.

Enter: Fujimori, my favorite architect of the moment. I am fickle with my love, but I think he has what it takes to stay.

As for my means of transport – I wanted the first one (for its presence on the road and for its carrying capacity). But got the second one (and later bought a front basket) instead. My vintage 70s cruiser has proven itself to be quite a match for sharp curbs and potholes (knock on wood). Its weight maybe rivals my own and serves as an excellent instrument for pain during the uphill climbs. Its a great workout and this bike brings a smile to my face everytime I see it. I don’t know how many hours I’ve pondered the NYC Bike Map while cross checking it with blogged about locations in the city. Next possible outing: a ride to sunset park to one of brooklyn’s best taco places
